Why the BuddyPress projects never keeps past translation files, at last previous relesead versions? I just found out that the available files in GlotPress are for 1.6, while a lot of people are using 1.5.x.(that’s the version availabel in plugin directory as well). I used to keep the translation in my site but now that I’m running the br.buddypress seemed right to lead people to download files in Glot instead. Am I missing something?!

I give up translating buddpress to korean. I don’t write request for buddypress anymore. This is not request.

Zé
Is it because of this? Your post fell through the cracks, I’m afraid, very sorry about that. I’ve created http://translate.wordpress.org/projects/buddypress/dev/ko/default in the meantime, in case you want to reconsider.

I’d like to share buddypress Korean(ko_KR) translation. Please let me add the po file to GlotPress. Thanks!

Please get in touch with the Korean translators at http://ko.wordpress.org/contact/ to have them validate and upload your translations.

1. I can’t translate buddypress project. Please add me to “http://translate.wordpress.org/projects/buddypress/dev” as korean validator and svn access right.
2. Please, check site settings of http://ko.buddypress.org. When I connect this site, I receive the “HTTP 310(Too many redirects)”. Thank you.-

my wordpress.org forum id is “drssay”

Please get in touch with the current team to add you as a validator to ko.wordpress.org. I’ll look into the redirect.

Hi, I’ve tried to add a new post to announce BP 1.5.1 on id.buddypress.org just now, but somehow got this message instead when clicking the “submit for review” button:
“You are not allowed to edit this post.”I checked users and I’m currently still an administrator there. Please help thanks.
-
Zé
Not a cookies/cache issue?
-
sofyand
Upon seeing your reply, I tried adding the new post again, but this time the button was “Publish” (unlike “Submit for review” before).
And I was able to publish the new post so I think it wasn’t a cookie or cache issue.
Thanks.

Hello Zé,
I’m a validators of BuddyPress for a long time, and I’m the maintainer of BuddyPress China (cn.buddypress.org) from BP 1.0.
But today when I wanna to import my translations to glotpress, I found that my permissions was been removed.
There wasn’t any notices and reasons.
Could you tell my way? And how to restore my permissions?
I really don’t want my long time works been finished without any reasons. And I hope somebody can friendy to handle this case.
Thank you so much.
-
jiehanzheng
Sorry. I did this because I thought the permission settings in the Rosetta site only applies to WordPress projects — therefore I removed you from the list.
Let’s ask @vanillalounge if there’s any way to make these permissions per-project. Before we get a solution, I will add you back. But please do not import your translation for other projects again.
My apologies,
Jiehan

Dreamcolor
As you said, I can ensure that I won’t import my translations.
And I found that bbPress still have so much work havn’t proof. I already finish the translation for a long time and request for the validator for three times. Could you add me into that?
You just need to tell me which project I shouldn’t to touch. I won’t to make any obsession to you.
-
jiehanzheng
Once I promote you to Validator, you will have access to ALL these projects. Please, again, do not import translations to any projects other than BuddyPress, which you are originally in charge of.
However, you may translate them one-by-one using your validator account, if the person in charge of the language allows so. If they don’t, you can still feel free to make translation suggestions with another account which is not a Validator. For detailed permission information and contact info of validators, please refer to:
http://cn.wordpress.org/validators/May I have your email address for your WordPress.org account to get proceed?
-
-
Andrew Nacin
We don’t plan to implement per-project permissions at this time.
-
Mattias Tengblad
Not good Why isn’t things like this discussed with the translation team before it’s implemented?
-
jiehanzheng
I agree with you. This mechanism change caused a little collaboration problem.

Hi, Zé,
Can you grant me admin rights with my WP.org account (pcgaldo) into the galician localization group?
http://buddypress.org/community/groups/wordpress-en-galego/Thanks.
-
John James Jacoby
Hi pcgaldo! I’m currently updating bp.org, so it will be a hours before this will be available again. I’ll be sure to add you once it’s back up. I’ll reply here when you’re all set.
-
John James Jacoby
I lied. I was able to get it done right away.
Groups are still in transition right now, so they might not be fully operational yet. 🙂
You’re all set. 🙂

OK, Thanks a lot, John.

Hi, i’ve access to i18n svn for the italian translation. Now trying to commit version 1.2.9 I got this error message:
“authorization failed: Could not authenticate to server: rejected Basic challenge (http://i18n.svn.buddypress.org)”
but the access details are correct. how to solve the problem? perhaps the change of address from svn.buddypress.org to buddypress.svn.wordpress.org is the problem?
thanks for the help.

You should probably reset your password and try again.

Please add me, dimadin, as a validator for BuddyPress and bbPress projects for Serbian.
Thanks in advance.

Done.

So I went to finally import my work but there is no Serbian at both projects. Maybe something related to this?

Zé
Right. It’s there now, sorry about that.

PSA: For those of you who use SVN, please update your Subversion clients to the new URLs, as the current ones will stop functioning in a while. You don’t need to change anything else, all content and permissions are kept in the change:
- WordPress.org i18n: http://i18n.svn.wordpress.org
- bbPress i18n: http://bbpress-i18n.svn.wordpress.org
- BuddyPress i18n: http://i18n.svn.buddypress.org
-
Nikolay Bachiyski
If you are using the command line svn client, you can do this via the following command:
$ svn switch --relocate http://svn.automattic.com/wordpress-i18n/locale http://i18n.svn.wordpress.org/locale
-
Jenia
Same here, the link does not work 😦
http://bbpress-i18n.svn.wordpress.org returns a page that says “WordPress.org SVN” – and that’s it.

The bbPress repository doesn’t work, lads. :-S

It looks like 1.2.x was branched but that 1.5.x was never branched. We can do this, if you’d like, but it might need to wait for http://glotpress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/207, as any strings removed in 1.6 but present in 1.5 would need to be re-translated for 1.5 based on a simple PO/MO export and re-import.
Diana K. Cury 4:31 pm on June 29th, 2012 Permalink |
Thanks Nacin, I see that many strings was changed/added, but at least for versions said stable there should be versions, i.e. 1.6 and beyond?! Now that 1.6 are about to be released there is no need to worry about the past ones indeed.
