The default time format is set to “H:i” in the Polish translation, but this results in duplicate “H:i” entries on the settings screen: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/265/zrzutekranuz20120623122.png/

Hi everybody,
I am the developer of the free mapping plugin http://www.mapsmarker.com which allows you to pin, organize & show your favorite places through OpenStreetMap/WMTS, Google Maps/Earth (KML), GeoJSON or Augmented-Reality browsers.
I set up a GlotPress instance and am now looking for new translators – everyone who is interested in contributing to a full-featured mapping plugin (receiving about 100 downloads a day globally), is invited to help translating at http://translate.mapsmarker.com/projects/lmm
any help is really appreciated!
best regards,Robert

Hi, Zé.
Sanskrit (sa_IN) version of Browse Happy is ready. Can you please deploy it? -
Fernando Tellado
We’re having a problem every update, related with tags and branches availables. We haven’t a 3.4 tag or branch to select.
What is happening is that if we select de subversion option to create the translation the version shows right, but the .po and .mo files doesn’t comply with this version, and if we select create the translation from glotpress we haven’t a 3.4 tag, it only shows trunk one and the version showed is 3.5 alpha, and no update will be available from this point.
We need help on how to solve this issue
(es_ES translation team BTW) 🙂
-
Zé
Ok, first of all please don’t use the “build from svn” option, it’s not supported anymore. However, for the moment, you still need a http://i18n.svn.wordpress.org/es_ES/tags/3.4, which you don’t have and that’s why you don’t see it.
So, create the structure in svn and build like so:
- Build from
translate.wordpress.org
- Locale branch for dist files is
tags/3.4
(it takes a few minutes for this to show up on the dropdown after you’ve created it in svn) - Project is
Development (trunk)
- WordPress revision is
21078
(this makes sure you’re not building 3.5-alpha) - WordPress Version is
3.4
It should do the trick, but let me know if it doesn’t.

Fernando Tellado
Thanks a lot!
I’ll show the way to Rafa (bi0xid) ’cause I haven’t access to svn from long time ago 😉

Hola Fernando,
Zé already answered to you 🙂
As an additional help, this is our (pt_BR) svn http://i18n.svn.wordpress.org/pt_BR/tags/3.4/
Only /dist ( readme.html and wp-config-sample.php ) are needed, I have added twentyeleven/ and twentyten/ so our users have a place to download the ‘lost files’ from automatic updates.

@Ze, Hi, I am not sure if this is a right place but I saw 2 pages at WordPress.org and wanted to know who could update those pages with latest info.
I have been leading Nepali translation here at http://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp/dev and 75% of WP 3.4 is complete. So, perhaps we can list it on this page: http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_in_Your_Language
And probably edit this page with updated info: http://codex.wordpress.org/L10n:Teams_Currently_Forming I tried emailing the guy earlier but he didn’t reply so I asked you to provide me access to translate Nepali and been doing that since then.
If this is not appropriate place to post, please let me know so I can forward it to concerned authority.
Thanks,
Chandra -

-

@Zé – I;ve translated the new strings for my locale but I’m not sure about how to create the build for it – been too long ago since we did 3.3 Any chance of catching you on Skype or IRC?
-
Kenan Dervišević
@Zé, could you please deploy bs_BA for Browse Happy? I’ve translated one new string.
Also, letters ‘š’ and ‘ć’ are behaving strangely. Could someone take a look at this:
-
Zé
Done, but the font issue continues, let me ask the original designer about it. Looks like a Typekit issue.
-
Hugo Baeta
Yes, it’s a typekit issue. Apparently that font doesn’t support non-latin characters. I’m working on improving that (because this has happened with several translations) and other details of the site. Will have an update ready to deploy no later than next week 😉

Nice, drinks are on me if you ever decide to make a trip to Bosnia 🙂

Sorry to report, but looks like this old known problem still exists https://wppolyglots.wordpress.com/2011/07/13/twenty-eleven-losses-translation-after-3-2-1-update/#comment-3597

Original report is ‘burried’ here: https://wppolyglots.wordpress.com/2012/06/13/wordpress-3-4-will-be-released-within-the-hour/#comment-13770

Came here to report this too. Updating from 3.3 to 3.4 does not update the themes, and updating them loses the translation files, even though the themes are translated in GlotPress.
I had a couple reports about this already for fr_FR, and sadly I expect more.
-
Gabriel Reguly
Hi xavier,
I have added the files to svn and posted the links to users, so at least they can upload only the mo files.
WordPress 3.4 “perde” a tradução dos temas Twenty Ten e Twenty Eleven
That helps to alleviate the issue.
-
Xavier
Yup, same as we do: http://www.wordpress-fr.net/2012/06/19/lhebdo-wordpress-wordpress-3-4-meetup-en-normandie-bbpress-2-1/
But many do not read our Twitter account or our weekly news. Oh well.

An additional request would be to @Nikolay Bachiyski or @Zé, please fix GlotPress export.
Files are exported like pt-br.mo, but WordPress expects them as pt_BR.mo.
That is confusing to users getting them from GlotPress to fix their broken themes.
Thanks in advance,
Gabriel-
Zé
I get the issue, but it looks low-priority to me. Be it as it may, this is a GlotPress ticket, not really a request, right?
-
Gabriel Reguly
As usual, you are correct Zé 🙂
Now I have created a ticket http://glotpress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/206
Thanks for the reply.
Any news regarding the parent request?

Hello,
Is Serbian Latin supported by WordPress?
The reason I am asking is that we translated the theme Responsive to Serbian Latin and I am unsure how to name the file. I did see somewhere sr_lat but I am not sure if it is correct.
http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/responsiveP.s. We still have 9 segments untranslated in Italian if anyone is interested in helping out.

Milan Dinić
I’m maintainer of Serbian localization. We don’t have a separate Latin “language” as there is no need for it. As per agreement, all translations are done in Cyrillic and we ship a plugin that when enabled, transliterates all strings on the fly so we have both options.
Plugin or theme doesn’t need a Latin translation since with Cyrillic you have both.
Who did translation? I see some grammatical errors and also wrong terminology for some words. I would gladly fix it.
-
grapplerulrich
We do have two translators at the moment and one did mention that the Latin version had some mistakes. I would really appreciate it if you could make the changes. Just send a request and I will accept it. Thanks.
-
Milan Dinić
I’ve sent a request.
-
grapplerulrich
Excepted 🙂
-
Milan Dinić
Hm, I still get an error “You don’t have the permission to translate this segment. If you think this is an error, please contact support.”
-
grapplerulrich
Sorry, it is a two step process and I forgot the second step. Sorry 😦
-
Milan Dinić
OK, I’ve gone through all strings. I have some comments but will leave them until I see translation in action.

Hey Milan,
I tried to get the plugin activated but there’s an error on line 49. I haven’t checked what’s there and just want to give you heads-up.
Any chance this can be included in official plugin directory as well?
Thanks,
Emil

Zé could you please deploy rosetta & translation for hr.wordpress.org. Everything is translated and deployed several times, but some translations don’t show up in admin area. Thank you.

Zé
Please request rosetta deploys from your dashboard. Only forums and Browse Happy deploys should be requested here. Thanks.

Can you open a ticket on Trac for this? A simple array_unique() should be enough there, on both $time_formats and $date_formats.

Done. 🙂
