I have been asking this for seven months without success so I’m giving it another try.
There are strings in custom wp.org theme and/or plugin that aren’t in Rosetta POT file so they can’t be translated. I believe that reason for this is because they aren’t wrapped around gettext functions.
You can see them at following screenshots I made: links to topics’ view in header, on front page, and titles of those views; strings in topic’s sidebar; profile fields on registration and profile page; link for subscribing to new topics in tag.
Please fix this since we were patient for a long time.

Milan, I was wondering about those same strings earlier today! They are quite visible and not too many, so I second your opinion, to achieve the best local user experience, it would be great to have a way to localize them.

I agree with Milan and Jenia. It’s just a few strings, but they are constantly ignored, and not included in POT files. So please put this on your TO DO list. Thanks. 🙂

The problem is in the .pot file generation (for the forums, not rosetta) which we are correcting

I take it you’re letting us know here when there’s a new .pot file?
